BIEN is simple.<\/strong>
Textile Art Biennial BIEN is about sustainability, heritage, and social impact.<\/strong>
It originates from Kranj and keeps growing. First biennial edition in 2021.<\/strong>
Since 2026, BIEN is a Slovenian platform devoted to textile art supported by the Ministry of culture.<\/strong>

BIEN 2027: TRACES OF GRACE

BIEN is a textile art biennial held every two years across multiple locations in the Gorenjska region of Slovenia. The biennial encompasses an international exhibition of contemporary textile art alongside a community and professional programme highlighting the transformative power of textile practices for individual wellbeing and social impact.<\/p>

BIEN 2027, under the overarching theme Traces of Grace, takes place from 29 May to 14 August 2027. The programme is curated, with part of the selection made through an open call, which is open until 21 December 2026.<\/p>

Since 2026, this Slovenia’s leading event of contemporary textile creativity has been developing as a platform for the advancement of contemporary textile art and textile practices in Slovenia. It is supported by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture.<\/p>
