Christian Gastaldi is a self-taught artist. He was born on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, in a city surrounded by salty waters. He conceives his creations as a painter, even though he hardly uses paint. He conceives his creations as a poet, even though he destructs the words to retain only fragments of letters, desperate attempts to communicate. His preferred materials are those that can be found in the streets, having suffered the passing of time. He builds his work upon the humanity and the fragility he perceived in those, concentrating on the fundamentals of Art: Rhythm and Composition.
