His work is in over fifty museums &#8211; both in public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC (USA), the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York (USA), the Smart Museum, Chicago, the Czech Museum of Fine Arts, Prague (Czech Republic) and Museum Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern (Germany). He has received twenty international awards and grants, including Stipendium Kunstfonds, Berlin (Germany), Artist Residency Largo das Artes, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Grand Prix 4th International Triennial Prague (Czech Republic), and Max Kade Foundation (USA).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Since he started creating, he\u2019s continually challenged by his own practice to alternately explore multiple media including sculpture, video installation and stage design. His work has always explored the relationship between art and social connections.\u00a0 He has collaborated with writers, musicians and dancers. For about twenty years his main theme has been to model human behavior under extreme conditions such as fear, violence, pressure or death. Korsig is especially intrigued by the neurological and cognitive processes that are difficult to record purely scientifically. He wants to provoke a new perception of the processes at the interface of biological determination and human consciousness.
