Ana \u010cavi\u0107 uses collage-poem pairs to set the scenes, often focusing on a dramatic moment in their stories, and to speculate on predicaments of female characters beneath the surface. Following in the tradition of fabulism, \u010cavi\u0107 employs the cut-up method of composing poetry and an idiosyncratic visual language \u2013 miniature collages on cardboard and in peanut shells \u2013 to present alternative versions of female characterisation and representation, which have been poetically reimagined in a kind of confident mythopoeia or \u201cmyth-making\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ana \u010cavi\u0107<\/strong> is a visual artist, performer, a poet and an academic. Her interdisciplinary practice combines visual and performing arts and she works across different media and fields, including art, literature and theatre.
