Sunna Kangas is a conceptual and textile artist from Helsinki, Finland. Air and Ocean questions the age of plastic. More than 150 million tons of plastic waste in the world’s oceans are forming huge marine landfills. The main theme of her art is human-made environments. Her work explores the intersections of language, signage, and textiles through a highly interdisciplinary approach. She creates site-specific installations in public spaces, blending graphic clarity with conceptual depth. Engaging in stage design, editorial projects, and urban interventions, she seeks to challenge perceptions of communication and space. Bold forms and vibrant contrasts define her practice, inviting multiple interpretations.
