Air is invisible, but essential

Jolanda Linssen is a Rotterdam-based artist specializing in textiles, painting, and ceramics. She creates large-scale tapestries, as well as handwoven and embroidered tapestries and sculptures. The large double-sided tapestry Vriendje XXI conveys movement, softness, and human connection. Air is invisible yet essential, much like the emotions woven into her work. With second hand sweaters and embroidered felt, she transforms textiles into expressions of care. Can textile art soften the world? Jolanda believes it can, offering a gentle reminder to trust and care for one another.
