Aurora represents the mystical primal relationship between humans and the Sun, as well as the significance and influence of the Sun on folk textile art and mythology. In exploring textures, forms, and colours, the author draws inspiration from various solar myths and natural solar phenomena such as the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis. The author interprets the aurora through the medium of textiles and explores the significance of the Sun in the motifs and symbolism of Macedonian folk textile art.
