The author depicts through batik artwork a story of human enlightenment about nature and the environment. At some point, humans realized that nature has a significant impact on the world while also acknowledging that its power can be destructive, and that they have no control over it. The artist assumes that the only solution is human humility and modesty, along with hope for a brighter future. The scattered stories from memories are the most important part of the process of human transformation into individuals with their own history.
Dias Prabu is a visual artist specializing in batik art. He graduated from the master’s program at The Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta in 2012. In 2015, Dias Prabu became a finalist in prestigious art competitions such as UOB Painting of the Year and Mandiri Art Award. His latest solo exhibition took place in August 2022 at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery in NSW, Australia. He currently resides and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
