Dieke Venema (NL)

Dieke Venema lives and works in the Netherlands. Her practice consists of sculptures, drawings and installations. Venema’s works feel like characters, entities, personalities. Individualities emerge partly in relief: the compactness and delicacy of one artwork- personage emphasised by the galumphing scale of another, material contrasts making her art immensely, satisfyingly textural. The work was made in collaboration with the TextielMuseum/TextielLab in Tilburg (NL).
