Ice gardens, in which flowers and other plants are frozen, are subject to entropy and temperature conditions. As the ice sculptures and their inner gardens melt, they constantly change, although these changes are almost imperceptible to the naked eye. The melting process and the consequent transformation of the gardens are captured with a camera and later compiled into a recording that allows us to experience the entire process in a short period of time, essentially as a complete moving image. The ground, the foundation on which the ice structures were placed, becomes a bearer of the record of the entire process—a sort of memory of it. Over time, the ice as a living substance disappears, leaving behind colourful floral imprints on the ground. The Ice gardens are located in frequented areas in the city centre, allowing for chance encounters and unforeseen interactions with passers-by.
