The Rotunda is part of the Nova Gorica Theatre. The entrance to the Rotunda is located between the main entrance of the theatre and the entrance to the Nova Gorica City Gallery. A few steps lead up to the entrance.
The main entrance to the Rotunda is open on weekdays until 19:00. You can also visit the installation after this time and on weekends from 16:00 onwards. In this case, enter through the Klub Teater bar and use the back door leading to the restroom area.
The exhibition by artist Eta Sadar Breznik Seize the Storm at the Slovenian National Theatre in Nova Gorica announces the Textile Art Biennial BIEN 2025 in Nova Gorica (Opening June 20, 2025). The large floating textile installation is set in the rotunda of this monumental building and brings together a diverse selection of works by one of the most important artists on the Slovenian textile art scene. 'Perhaps this retrospective exhibition is truly a story of love – for oneself and others, for movement and exploration, for material and expression, and for nature,' concludes its curator Lovro Ivančić in the exhibition text.

Eta Sadar Breznik
After completing her studies in architecture in Ljubljana, Eta Sadar Breznik fully dedicated herself to design, weaving, and the study of textile art. She furthered her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. Since 1978, her works have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and selected group exhibitions in the field of textile art across Europe, Asia, and America. Her works are also included in many public collections as well as in professional overviews of global achievements in textile art. Among other accolades, Eta Sadar Breznik is the recipient of the Bronze Medal at the International Tapestry Festival in Beauvais, France (1996), and the Slovenian national Prešeren Fund Award (1998).
The project is co-financed by the public institution GO! 2025 - European Capital of Culture, Nova Gorica and Ministry of Culture of Republic of Slovenia.
