The author’s compositions with indeterminate colour masses, on which the sun shines or rain falls, are given a special artistic and thematic emphasis through collage. Torn paper strips, glued onto the canvas, extend beyond the edges and create a spatial dimension of the image. It involves combining colourful and painted pieces of paper of various shapes, sometimes complemented by applications of textile.

Slađana Matić Trstenjak holds a master’s degree in painting. She has participated in over 30 solo exhibitions and 150 group exhibitions. She is the recipient of several awards and prizes. She lives and works as a self-employed artist in Maribor.
