A visual representation of resilience and potential for life in unexpected times

The sun plays a crucial role in providing the opportunity for life on Earth. Opportunity for Life is a crocheted artwork inspired by the sun and its significance in sustaining life on Earth. A site-specific crocheted artwork serves as a visual representation of resilience and the potential for life to flourish in unexpected times or places. It invites viewers to reflect on the transformative power of sunlight and nature’s ability to create life and beauty. The artwork symbolises the sun’s role as a catalyst for growth, energy, and the creation of opportunities for life to thrive. Without the sun, life on Earth as we know it would not exist.
