The workshop was led by textile artists Nina Vastl Šefe and Vita Ivičić at Kranj City Library, as part of the make-a -trek Horizon programme.
Our goal is to create a collaborative piece for the BIEN archive — a new textile book in which every page is created by the BIEN community. We aim to organise workshops during the years where artists, visitors, and partners can create their own page and contribute their story to the textile book.
The next Plural Textile Book workshop will take place on May 4 at 13:00 at Layer House, as part of Olivia Géraud’s artist-in-residency activities.
The workshop was part of the make-a-threk project, which transforms libraries into inclusive community spaces through circular textile use, sustainable fashion, and the preservation of traditional craft knowledge. make-a-threk is funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe. The workshop program is curated by BIEN – Textile Art Biennial, supported by the Ministry of Culture via the Zavod Carnica.
