Alexander Sebastianus Hartanto  is an artist and ethnographer from Indonesia who recontextualizes and resacralizes Javanese craft through contemporary art. He unveils the ritualization of the batik process as his sacred act of memorializing froms—creating a practice to remember one of their origin/memory/a sense of time and space.
