BIEN 2023 is coming to Nova Gorica and announces the cooperation of the biennale and GO! 2025 with two exhibitions.

BIEN is initiated by Carnica Institute from Kranj and jointly organized by Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Design, an independent higher education institution, and many partners. BIEN connects Gorenjska and Goriška and is developing as a regional art event.

BIEN 2023 has the theme "Sun" and is presented in Kranj, Škofja Loka, Jesenice and Nova Gorica with more than 70 artists and collectives as well as individual and group projects of faculties.

BIEN 2023 is an international textile art biennial based in Slovenia. With its programs of textile art and industrial design, BIEN is biennially presented in the form of exhibitions and projects that reflect on heritage, conservation and sustainability, drawing from the biological, geological and archaeological features of space, environment, identities, industrial heritage and traditional knowledge, and creating new contemporary expressions. BIEN promotes interdisciplinary artistic integration with projects and residencies, presents the works of international and domestic artists, with a special emphasis on the best works of current domestic and international student production, and understands that the future of art is also in the public and digital space.
