Artist book PF (2025)

Škropar's House, Castle garden, Škofja Loka
The collision of different periods of emerging cultural traditions

The exploration of textile as an artistic material and the Artist Book as a format of expression draws upon the historical and ethnological value of clothing culture, as recognized in the collection of the Loški Museum. Contemporary artistic practice in the form of the Artist Book is placed alongside exhibition objects from the 300-year-old Škropar House, which relate to the domestic culture of “kajžarji” (rural farmers and small landowners). This creates a distinctive and anachronistic clash of cultural heritages shaped in different historical periods.
