Accra-born Michael Gah’s art confronts textile waste, sparked by Ghana’s polluted waters. He repurposes discarded fabrics, transforming them into impactful pieces. His work, a blend of heritage and activism, challenges consumption. Over 60 pieces sold, Gah pioneers sustainable art, urging viewers to see beauty in waste. For him, air symbolizes release from the weight of everyday life: the woman in his image floats freely, able to breathe and express herself as she pleases.
