Words failed, only breath remained

Olga Klimovitskaia is a London-based multimedia artist from Kazakhstan. Her work is a speechless diary, and much like air, is invisible yet essential. Her hand- sewn textile book captures a year of suspended existence, where words failed, and only breath remained—shallow, constrained, yet persistent. As a nomadic artist, stitching helps her navigate displacement, binding together fragmented identities. Having migrated three times, she exists in fluidity, where cultural identities erode and reconfigure.
