Femininity and the private sphere

Olga Ulmann is a German artist and researcher. Her work Parabiosis is a textile sculpture made of bordeaux- colored and silvery parachute silk, filled with over 200 helium or air balloons. Central to her practice is sewing, historically tied to femininity and domesticity, which she reframes through large-scale textile installations, sculptures, and drawings.
