The textile meadow, which has transitioned from the external environment to the indoor space, represents the grandeur of the sun and its power to bring the earth to life with its rays. When people lay down under enlarged plants, this gives them a sense of smallness, yet at the same time, it evokes feelings of infinity, comfort, and peace provided by nature. The sun, symbolizing positivity and clarity, as well as the warmth of memories are inscribed on textile plants in the form of folklore motifs, through the interpretation of urban graffiti. Ornamental images of plants, people, and animals express the joy and positive emotions that living beings experience when the sun shines. Inspired by Slovenian folklore art, the motifs rhythmically unite with nature through embroidery, quilting, and strong colour contrasts. The artwork portrays the strong connection between humans, animals, and plants living in harmony with nature, growing as one under the sun.

In her work, Tasja Videmšek explores forms and seeks new images that are hidden everywhere around us. Through illustration, embroidery, or ceramics, she creates new worlds that express the familiarity of Slovenian folklore and its connection to nature and animals. She has already presented her work three times at the BIEN Textile Art Biennial.
