Barbara Henri gives new life to all kinds of images that she likes to hunt for on the whim of garage sales, flea markets and other odds and ends, or simply found in the most improbable places. Guided by her creative spirit and a constantly boiling imagination, these “forgotten treasures” are reborn in the form of collages, editions, installations or even animations. All the materials used are recovered: paper, fabrics, frames, supports … Markers of an era, these abandoned objects, but saved from oblivion, question as much as they move. This is how matters of identity, nostalgia, relationship between humans and society become recurring themes in her work.
