The three-part video installation “Arrival” transports the viewer into a serene, yet ominous visual environment. Spherical underwater sounds and spoken poetry contribute to the disquieting atmosphere of the artwork. “Arrival” emphasizes the contrast between the natural beauty of the Earth and the increasing pollution due to human intrusion. The video criticizes our tendency to be trapped in the pitfalls of a wealthy social environment and highlights the unbalanced distribution of wealth, which further exacerbates the negative spiral process. A shift in prevailing trends would open up possibilities for addressing the urgent challenges facing humanity.
