Fitacola Collage are Graça and Carlos Quitério. They started making collages together in 2005, while in college, using adhesive tape, which in Portuguese is called fita-cola. Their work supplies come from flea-markets, second hand stores, or friends and family. They love cutting paper collage, mixing and taping old and new references from all kinds of images and papers. Working with all these resources and information, making some sort of aesthetic sense out of these random pieces of paper, or telling a new story altogether, it’s what makes them “tic”.
