Iztok Šmajs Muni graduated from the Pedagogical Academy in Ljubljana. He also studied abroad, including at the Verbano International University, Vincaglio in Italy and the ICCP program in Santa Barbara, USA. He was later appointed honorary professor in Verbano. Since 1980, he has been self-employed in culture and works in the field of visual arts, music, philosophy, poetry and photography, as well as art criticism. He had many exhibitions both at home and abroad.
