The author’s focus is on the human body and all of its subtle gestures and innate behaviour. His forms come together quickly as he grabs materials within reach and embraces the direction that they take her. If all goes well, he’s left with a depiction of the frailty and fluidity of the human condition.
James Gallagher uses collage to investigate human form and personal identity. Gallagher’s work has hung in galleries around the world and he has curated international collage exhibitions. Gallagher earned a BFA from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he lives with his wife and three children.
