Through practical learning of basic weaving techniques, the students have familiarized themselves with the language of textile design. The sun, as the main source of life, has illuminated their exploration of the concept of personal folklore, the connection with fauna, and the park as a space for the encounter and coexistence of different life forms. They have woven their own experiences, memories, and stories into miniature hand-woven textiles called “grebenčki”, little ridges. Through meditative but focused and consistent repetition of basic weaving patterns, they have gradually allowed themselves to intuitively explore, experiment, and interpret the complex rules of weaving, enriching them with their own understanding and expression of the chosen subjects. With great ease and enthusiasm, they have devoted themselves to manual work and created diverse weaving languages and dialects. Some tell stories about bears, mosquitoes, doves, and fish, while others depict mythical creatures with good and bad habits. Some speak of the magic of national parks, the preservation of natural heritage, and the richness of biodiversity, and others portray dreams and aspirations.
