Spot-on Gallery in front of Kranj City Library will host exhibition of original film posters of Slovenian designers for France Štiglic films due to 100th anniversary of his birth and the reinterpretations of posters in collage of 8 Slovenian contemporary artists and designers: Lea Zupančič, Zala Kalan, Ljubo Bratina, Maja Kocjan, Aljaž Primožič, Žiga Čebašek, Vasko Vidmar and Maruša Štibelj.
Exhibition is part of France Štiglic’ 100th anniversary of birth memorial. Kranj, his hometown and the pioneer town of photography and film, it is participating in the representation of Slovenian film heritage with diverse events together with Slovenian film center, Slovenian film archive and Slovenska Kinoteka under the project “100 years of France Štiglic”. Original posters and photographs are part of museum collection of Slovenska Kinoteka.
Events and projects connected with Štiglic year in Kranj are part of programme development for Kranj candidacy for Europe Capital of Culture 2025 in which cultural, industrial and natural heritage are integrated with contemporary urban, art and creative forms.
