Michela Taeggi’s artistic research is aimed at exploring the environment in relation to human
perception and states of mind. Through autobiographical narration, using different languages, such as photography, collage and writing, she creates a visual dialogue dictated by poetics, always in the balance between destruction and creation. She explores themes such as absence, memory, time and transformation using images in series or sequences. Nature in her works is represented in relation to an emotional or psychological state of humans, often self-referential. Through photography she examines the perceptual universe, transforming reality into an act of visual exploration that is often ambiguous or chaotic. It is a continuous quest to reveal a dimension that is invisible to the eyes, intimate, sometimes complex and often elusive. Michela Taeggi is a visual artist who lives and works in Bergamo. After a career in photojournalism, today she dedicates herself to research photography and education through the use of various means, such as photo collage, writing and artist books. For her work, she received numerous awards and mentions.
