The Moss be true project revolves around visiting a natural location that represents a sacred and safe space for the artist. The collages incorporate elements and textures specific to a particular tree stump, covered with moss, which through weekly visits has transformed into an altar. Minimal interventions in nature, such as adding natural elements to the altar (e.g., stones), have made it more personal — hers. Repeating the same impulse outside her hometown gives her a sense of familiarity and security. Processuality is key in this work, as it continues and will continue until the moment the artist ceases visiting this place.
Tisa Praprotnik (2000) is currently studying photography at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. She received many awards for her work and exhibits it regularly at solo and group exhibitions.
