The smile drawn on the man’s covered face suggests a possible contrast between outward appearance and inner emotions. The darkness and eeriness could represent the hidden world of emotions beneath the surface. An overall dark and eerie feeling of the collage creates a sense of unease and makes the viewer question what’s truly going on. This taps into the unsettling nature of things hidden beneath the surface, things we don’t know or understand.
