The duo Nevena Aleksovski and Maja Babič Košir explore the intersections between personal and collective identity and social issues through a multimedia approach. Their work combines graphics, painting, and sculpture, examining themes of identity, migration, and precariousness in the post-Yugoslav space. A special focus of their work is on archival materials and the use of discarded objects that serve as a source of inspiration for their multilayered visual compositions, combined in a dialogue between their individual artistic practices. (From the curator text of Adrijan Praznik).
